I genuinely LOVE what I do! I want to provide a certain value to you that you can't get elsewhere, while at the same time helping you achieve a result better than you expected. It all starts with honesty, integrity and effective collaboration.
I want to constantly set an example to my kids that if they do what they love, they will be happy. Well... I try to model the way for them every single day.
I am very selective and specific in how many guitars I build each year. The reason for this is that the quality, detail and craftsmanship are critically important to me. Every guitar is unique by selecting only the highest grade tone woods, finishes, and hardware.
I open up for custom orders typically one year in advance, and that order window is available once per year. So you could wait up to one year - first come, first served. Sometimes, I will have an open spot to fill, and I will announce that on Instagram.
We open our books once a year - I am truly trying to limit the number of completed guitar builds each year so that I can focus on quality and craftsmanship. This will ensure that you get everything that you hoped for, and more. Once I "hit the switch", I only take the first 5 orders for this calendar year. Once you make the deposit, this ensures your spot in line, and we will start talking about your dream!
It all starts with the coolest wood - I genuinely love to find the most unique and eye-catching lumber to build guitars that make you stare at the final result (typically with your jaw dropping). I work with some of the best hardwood companies in the world to source only the finest specimens. We will be going back and forth until we find YOUR guitar!
Picking the hardware and finding the right tone - bridges, tuning machines, pickups, - these are all important to you, the musician, and honestly, these are the cool things! I will be able to offer recommendations, but my guess is that you already know what you want. If not, we will get you in contact with the correct experts to find what is best for you!
The color and the finishing - we will work together with practice samples until you are 100% happy with the final "look" of your guitar. I typically final finish my guitars with a natural oil. I don't prefer to use poly or nitro finishes because in my opinion, they just don't feel real. If you pick up one my guitars, you know that you are holding a one-of-a-kind custom made instrument - for you.
